MONROVIA, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Green Dot Corporation (NYSE: GDOT – News), a leading prepaid financial services company, today announced its initial public offering of 4,558,050 shares of its Class A common stock at a price to the public of $36.00 per share. The shares will begin trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol “GDOT” on Thursday, July 22, 2010. All of the shares of Class A common stock are being offered by selling stockholders. The underwriters have the option to purchase from certain of the selling stockholders up to an additional 683,708 shares of Class A common stock, on the same terms and conditions, to cover over-allotments, if any. Green Dot will not receive any proceeds from the sale of shares by the selling stockholders.
