Background
Prior to joining TCV, Brett founded Brett Byrd Consulting, providing strategic compliance solutions to a diverse client base. Previously, Brett served as the Head of Trading Compliance at Ares Management, overseeing the Capital Markets, Special Situations and Private Equity teams at Ares Management and serving as CCO for Ares’ registered closed-end funds. Earlier roles include Associate Director at Macquarie Funds Group, where he managed U.S. compliance initiatives and served as CCO for various registered investment advisers and registered investment companies, and was a Director at ING Capital Advisors, where he oversaw structured product compliance and portfolio analytics.

Brett’s outside interests include golf and exploring the U.S. Southwest and desert regions.
