I particularly enjoy finding and working with entrepreneurs in cities outside of the traditional tech corridors — it shows just how ubiquitous the technology industry has become, as well as how widespread the entrepreneurial spirit is in America.
Nari joined TCV in 2006 and focuses on investments in the fintech, healthcare IT, software, and tech-enabled services sectors. Current investments include Avalara, HireVue, OneSource Virtual, Payoneer, and Varsity Tutors. Previous investments include EmbanetCompass (acquired by Pearson) and Merkle (acquired by Dentsu).
Prior to TCV, Nari was with McKinsey & Company in the San Francisco office, where he focused on assisting clients in the software, storage, and semiconductor sectors.
Given his obsession with battery life, and perhaps his overly sentimental nature, Nari will likely be Blackberry’s last remaining customer. Nari enjoys playing and watching basketball but fears his beloved hometown Lakers will disappoint him greatly for years to come.
Nari received his M.S. and B.S. in Management Science & Engineering (MS&E) from Stanford University’s School of Engineering.
