Background

Neil first joined TCV in 2011 and rejoined in 2020. He focuses on investments that serve consumers and SMEs across digital entertainment, digital health, online fitness, prosumer empowerment, e-commerce, fintech, edtech, online travel and otherwise. Neil brings both investment and operating experience specifically in the consumer internet space. He is currently involved with investments in Attentive, Brex, GoodRx (NASDAQ: GDRX), Hinge Health, Hotmart, Instacart (NASDAQ: CART), LegalZoom (NASDAQ: LZ) and Strava. He was previously involved with TCV’s investments in AppNexus, Facebook (NASDAQ: FB) and Minted. Most recently, Neil was a Partner at Francisco Partners. Prior to that, he was Managing Director of PersonalizationMall.com, an e-commerce direct marketer and category leader of personalized gifts that was ultimately acquired by Bed Bath and Beyond. He previously served as Director of Strategic Development at LegalZoom (NASDAQ: LZ).

Interests

Neil and his wife spend most of their free time trying to keep up with their four energetic young children, who keep their parents young at heart (despite dad’s aging appearance)!

Education

Neil earned his B.A.s in Economics and Political Science, magna cum laude, from Yale University, where he was on the varsity tennis team, and his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. During his M.B.A., Neil co-authored a case on CSN Stores, currently Wayfair.com, and completed a field study on Network Solutions.
