Ramzi joined TCV in 2014 and focuses on later-stage investments in the consumer internet and mobile technology, software, and education sectors. Ramzi’s current investments include Avvo, Rover, SeatGeek, Varsity Tutors, and Zillow. He also supports TCV’s investment in TechStyle.
Ramzi was previously an investor with TA Associates (TA), a leading private equity firm, in the technology group. While at TA, Ramzi focused on sourcing and executing investments in the financial technology and software sectors. Ramzi started his career as an investment banker with Citigroup’s M&A group. His career in technology began when he co-founded Araboh, an education e-commerce company, and launched an award-winning education app for iOS.
Ramzi was born in Sacramento, CA, and is still a loyal fan of the Sacramento Kings. He grew up in five countries while attending international schools and loves to travel the world with his wife and two children (35 countries and counting!). He enjoys basketball, photography, and the outdoors with his family.
Ramzi received his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration with college and university honors from Carnegie Mellon University.
