Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect.
Scott joined TCV in 2010 and focuses on investments in the software and tech-enabled services ecosystem. Scott’s current investments include Alarm.com (NASDAQ: ALRM), CCC Information Services, Rapid7 (NASDAQ: RPD), SiteMinder, and Xero (ASX: XRO). Scott was also involved in TCV’s investments in OSIsoft (interest acquired by SoftBank) and Sitecore (acquired by EQT).
Prior to TCV, Scott worked in BofA Merrill Lynch’s technology investment banking group.
Scott grew up in the small town of Windsor, in the heart of the Bay Area’s wine country. While he is certainly no sommelier, he enjoys pontificating about wine and his favorite varietals (please don’t fact check him). Before finding his way to technology investing, Scott sampled a variety of work experiences, including iHop (first job), physical education and algebra teacher, Cutco knives salesman, O&G services and, arguably his most profitable endeavor, selling burned CDs in 8th grade. Scott enjoys playing basketball, hiking, boating at Lake Tahoe, and most of all, spending time with his family (particularly his niece and three nephews).
Scott received his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and graduated with a B.S. in Accounting with minors in Mathematics and Spanish from Santa Clara University.
