Vishal focuses on investments in business and government services as well as healthcare IT. Prior to TCV, he spent several years within the investment banking group at Allen & Company in New York. While at Allen & Company, Vishal worked primarily with technology-enabled services, healthcare IT, internet and media companies on a variety of strategic advisory assignments, M&A transactions and equity offerings.

Vishal holds a B.A. in Public Policy Studies with a Certificate in Health Policy from Duke University and attended the Fuqua School of Business. Before entering finance, Vishal spent a number of years as an academic in the field of Bioethics / Neuroethics, primarily researching implications associated with new brain technologies.

Nari joined TCV in 2006 as an Associate. Prior to TCV, he spent several years as a Business Analyst in the San Francisco office of McKinsey and Company. While at McKinsey, Nari focused on strategy, operations, and private equity engagements in the semiconductor, storage, and software sectors.

Nari holds a B.S. in Management Science and Engineering and an M.S. in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University.

Mr. Blachford was the President and CEO of IAC Travel, managing all of IAC’s travel assets including Expedia, Hotels.com, and Hotwire. Mr. Blachford joined IAC with its acquisition of Expedia, Inc, a TCV portfolio company, where he served as President and CEO. Erik helped establish Expedia within Microsoft in 1995 where he led the creation of the brand as SVP of marketing, and later served as the president of Expedia North America, and ultimately was named President and CEO in 2003. Mr. Blachford currently serves as the Executive Chairman of TerraPass, a leading retailer of carbon offsets, consumer energy efficiency products, and green gifts as well as Chairman of Butterfield & Robinson, a world leader in top quality active travel. He also serves as a Director for Zillow, a TCV portfolio company, and GlassDoor.

Mr. Breakwell was a founder of Expedia.  He joined the company in 1996 managing US Operations.  In 2001, as President Expedia Europe, he was responsible for establishing and scaling Expedia’s European operations, including managing the Hotels.com and Expedia brands.  From 2006-2009, Mr. Breakwell served as a Main Board Director of IAC Travel, whose assets included Expedia, TripAdvisor, Hotels.com, and Hotwire.  In 2012-2013, Mr. Breakwell established European Operations for Uber.com.  Mr. Breakwell currently serves as a Director of HomeAway, a TCV portfolio company.

Bob Burke has over 35 years of experience in the technology space with both private and public companies, and is focused on investment opportunities in the software and Internet sectors. Bob was most recently the CEO of Art Technology Group (ATG) and led the turn around and rejuvenation of the business. Under Bob’s leadership, ATG became the leading ecommerce software provider and was successfully sold to Oracle for over $1B.

Before ATG, Bob was CEO of Quidnunc, a privately held web consultancy with headquarters in London and additional offices in the United States. Before Quidnunc, Bob was President of ePresence Solutions (formerly Banyan Systems), where he led the repositioning of Banyan from its legacy Network Operating System business both organically and by acquisition.

Bob started his career as an operating systems specialist at Digital Equipment Corporation and held a wide variety of roles in hardware & software infrastructure, software applications, consulting and systems integration. His most recent position at Digital was general manager of its billion-dollar plus systems integration business with operations in over 45 countries. Bob has a B.S. in Physics from Eastern Michigan University.

Ted Coons joined TCV in 2011 and has fifteen years of financial and investment experience in the technology sector. He focuses on infrastructure investment opportunities including the datacenter, mobile/wireless, networking, storage and security sectors.

Prior to TCV, Ted was a Managing Director in Blackstone’s Private Equity Group where he sourced, evaluated and executed investments across the technology sector. Before joining Blackstone, Ted was a Vice President at the Credit Suisse First Boston Technology Group where he was responsible for advising and financing the firm’s semiconductor and capital equipment clients. Ted began his career as an investment banker at Deutsche Bank.

Ted graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania’s Jerome Fisher Program in Management and Technology, where he received a BS in Engineering from the School of Engineering and Applied Science and a BS in Economics from The Wharton School. He is on the board of directors of Achievement First Endeavor, a charter school in Brooklyn, New York, the New York City/Newark Advisory Board of New Leaders, and the board of overseers of the Institute of Contemporary Art at the University of Pennsylvania.

Chuck joined Technology Crossover Ventures as a Venture Partner in September, 2011.  He currently serves as Chairman & CEO for Prodege, a TCV portfolio company and the web’s leading rewards discovery community and top provider of free gift card awards to help consumers extend their budgets.

Prior to TCV, Davis led Fandango to become the nation’s top moviegoer web, mobile, and ecommerce destination during his five years (2006-11) as its CEO.  As Chairman and CEO, Davis sold Fandango to Comcast Corporation in 2007.  Additionally, as EVP of Comcast Interactive Media, Davis led the 2008 acquisition of DailyCandy.

Previous to joining Fandango, Davis led Shopzilla, Inc., formerly BizRate.com, from its infancy to its status as the largest, most profitable and fastest-growing comparison shopping site online.  Davis served as Shopzilla's president and chief executive officer from 1999 through its 2005 acquisition by the E.W. Scripps Company for $569 million.

Davis was president, e-Commerce for The Walt Disney Company's Internet Group where he launched many merchant and travel businesses including Disneystore.com and Disneyvacations.com and supervised advertising sales, marketing, and online subscription initiatives during his 1996-99 tenure.  As TV Guide’s senior vice president of marketing, Davis directed the consumer marketing and circulation groups for America's then-largest magazine from 1992-95, becoming the last executive there to increase the subscription circulation (from 7 to 9 million subs). Davis started his career at Time Inc.'s Sports Illustrated, Life, and Time Magazines in marketing, circulation, and financial roles.

Davis earned his BA from Brown University and his MBA from Harvard University.  He serves as a director on Boingo, The Teaching Company (as executive chairman), and is an entrepreneur in residence at Harvard Business School.   Davis is a  trustee emeritus at Brown University where he served as Advancement Committee chairman. He also was elected to the Young Presidents' Organization worldwide board of directors from 2009-14 and served as its international chairman in 2012-13.   Davis previously served as a director to Business.com through its $345 million sale to R.H. Donnelley in 2007, was an Ernst & Young 2004 Entrepreneur of the Year Award winner in Los Angeles, and is a judge for E&Y’s annual competition.

John joined TCV in 2014 and has over seven years of experience advising private equity firms and corporate clients.  At TCV, John serves as Vice President and Associate General Counsel and is responsible for deal structuring and execution (including investments and exits), portfolio matters and other various legal functions.

Before joining TCV, John was an attorney at Simpson Thacher and Bartlett, LLP where he advised clients on a wide range of corporate and securities law matters, including mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, minority co-investments and securities offerings.  At Simpson Thacher, John also advised alternative asset management firms in their fundraising activities and ongoing operation of their private investment funds.

John received a B.A. in Economics/Accounting from the College of the Holy Cross and a J.D./M.B.A. from Santa Clara University.

Prior to joining TCV in 2013, Marco was a member of Morgan Stanley’s Investment Banking Division, where he spent several years working in the Firm’s Technology Investment Banking Group based in Menlo Park.  While at Morgan Stanley, Marco worked with companies in the storage, hardware, software, security, internet and communications equipment sectors on a variety of transactions including public equity offerings, debt financings, leveraged buyouts and strategic M&A assignments.  Marco began his career as an Analyst in Morgan Stanley's New York office, with prior work experience at Goldman Sachs and Lehman Brothers.

Marco holds a B.A. in Economics with a Concentration in Leadership Studies from Williams College.

With significant experience as an operator and investor, Jason Donahue has served as CEO of a number of public and private companies. Mr. Donahue’s technology expertise spans software and IT services. On the software side, Mr. Donahue has run storage management, virtualization, application management, and billing system companies. On the IT services side, Mr. Donahue has run software-as-a-service (SaaS), managed services, and business process outsourcing companies serving small to large enterprises.

Currently, Mr. Donahue serves as CEO of Vertex, a leading IT and BPO services company to the utility industry. Vertex, with employees distributed throughout the United States and Canada, serves utility clients spanning electric, gas, and water in North America.

Previous to Vertex, Mr. Donahue served as CEO of Acronis, a leading backup & recovery software company. Mr. Donahue also served as CEO of ClearApp, an application management software company which was sold to Oracle in 2008; Meiosys, a virtualization software company which was sold to IBM in 2006; Ejasent, a virtualization software company which was sold to Veritas (now Symantec) in 2004; Apptix, an application hosting company which went public in 2002; and TeleComputing, another publicly-listed application hosting software company. Mr. Donahue has served and continues to serve on numerous technology company boards of directors and advisory boards.

John received an AB in economics from Harvard University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. John previously competed on the men’s professional tennis tour and was a member of the Irish Davis Cup team.

John joined TCV in January of 2002.  He has over 20 years of operational, financial and technical experience, including leadership positions at several global technology companies.

Prior to joining TCV, John served as one of four CEOs in the Office of the Chairman at Lucent Technologies. John joined Lucent when Lucent acquired International Network Services (NASDAQ:INSS), where John served as President and CEO.  During his five years at INS, revenues profitably grew from $7 million to $440 million and its employee base increased from 56 to 2,300, establishing INS as the largest and fastest growing network consulting and software company in the world.  Prior to joining INS, John was Vice President and General Manager at Unisys Corporation.  John began his business career as a sales consultant for CF Software Corporation after serving as a Captain in the United States Army.

John holds a B.S. degree in Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point and a M.S. degree in Business Policy from Columbia University.  John is currently serving as a director of ThinkFinance, JustFab and Origin Healthcare Solutions. Additionally, John is co-founder of the McDrew Charity Tennis Classic, a member of the Canary Foundation Leadership Council and a board member of the National Venture Capital Association.

At Simpson Thacher, Ric advised clients on a wide range of mergers and acquisitions and securities law matters, including public and private leveraged buyouts, stock and asset acquisitions and dispositions, joint ventures, minority co-investments, securities offerings and PIPE financings.

Sean joined TCV in 2007. Sean is actively involved in TCV’s investments in Actifio, Go Daddy, XRS Corp and also supports TCV’s investment in Fiberlink. He also helped manage past investments including 2Wire (acquired by Pace), Continuous Computing (acquired by Radisys) and Motricity (NASDAQ: MOTR).

Prior to joining TCV, Sean worked at Deutsche Bank in the Technology Mergers and Acquisitions group. Sean was involved in strategic and financial acquisitions valued at over $1 billion for clients across multiple technology sectors.

Sean received a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Mr. Gilstrap has had 25 years in tech and telecom with global roles which included operational, sales, financial, and strategy.  This includes both private and public equity experience with international companies based in France, Netherlands, UK and Sweden.  Capital fundraising includes initial public offerings, secondary and private equity in both US and Europe.

Previously Doug was Chief Strategy Officer for Ericsson based in Stockholm and NYC.  Prior to that he was head of Strategy for Cable and Wireless, CEO of Radianz, a secure low latency and hosting financial data extranet, and CFO and COO for Equant (ENT-NYSE-$10B+) a global data network company. Radianz and Equant are now current divisions of BT and Orange, respectively.   He started his career as a CPA and M&A consultant before moving to tech and telecoms.

Doug holds a BS in Accounting (ex CPA) and a Masters in Business Administration.

Earlier, Mr. Goffman helped launch the Unified Communications and Office 365 businesses at Microsoft. Mr. Goffman started his career at McKinsey & Company. He holds an AB and MBA from Harvard University.

Jay Hoag has been a venture capitalist and technology investor for over 32 years.

He was a co-founder of TCV in 1995. Since that time TCV has raised almost $10 billion in capital and emerged a leading provider of growth capital to technology companies. Prior to TCV, Jay was a Managing Director at Chancellor Capital Management where he spent over 12 years as a technology focused venture capitalist and fund manager. He has been involved in a large number of technology investments including Actuate Software, Ariba Technologies, Altiris (sold to Symantec), BlueCoat Systems (formerly CacheFlow), C|Net, Encompass (sold to Yahoo!), EXE Technologies, Expedia, Fandango, Facebook, Groupon, Netflix, ONYX Software, RealNetworks, SpringStreet (sold toHomestore.com), TechTarget, Vacationspot.com (sold to Expedia), Viant, and Zillow among others.

Jay received a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from Northwestern University and an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan. He is currently on the Board of Directors of Electronic Arts, Netflix, TechTarget, Zillow, and one private company. Jay is on the Investment Advisory Committee at the University of Michigan, the Board of Trustees of Northwestern University, and the Board of Trust at the Vanderbilt University.

A pioneer of the Indian IT industry, Arjun has over 42 years of experience in the Technology and IT space with both private and public companies. Arjun was most recently Chairman and CEO of Headstrong where he led the turnaround and rejuvenation of that business. Under Arjun’s leadership, Headstrong became the leader in consulting to the financial markets and was sold in 2011 to Genpact for over $500m.

Before Headstrong, Arjun was a co-Founder and Vice Chairman of the HCL group for 23 years where he oversaw their operations and new initiatives. He and the founding team grew HCL from a six person “garage operation” to one of India’s largest Information Technology corporations that currently has over 90,000 employees and a market cap of over $8b.

Arjun started his career as a Senior Management Trainee at DCM in Delhi, India and was a key member of DCM Data Products that pioneered the digital electronics business in India. He studied at the Doon School, Dehradun, and the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur. Anita Pramoda is the co-founder of TangramCare, a technology-enabled care delivery system with the patient at the heart. The company affords extremely sick patients an opportunity to receive care in their homes, recover comfortably, and convalesce with dignity. Anita was recently the Chief Financial Officer at Epic Systems Corporation, a $1 billion+ healthcare IT company, that provides electronic medical records for over 40% of the US population.
